HOPE SANDOVAL FROM MAZZY STAR IS BACK! NEW ALBUM, NEW TOUR!
Since the moment word got out that Hope Sandoval was returning with a new album, the anticipation has continued to build. Rolling Stone proclaimed, “There’s good news: Sandoval is back!” Spin Magazine fell for the debut album track ‘Blanchard,’ recognizing, “Hypnotizing vocals, along with a spine-tingling, otherworldly sound that comes on like a warm opium dream.” When the track ‘Trouble’ hit, the anticipation grew even stronger. Premiering on Entertainment Weekly, the song was highlighted in the Fall Music Preview of NPR’s All Things Considered, who reflected, “People are very excited about (the new album) and it's easy to tell why just by pressing play.”

SEA WOLF'S "WHITE WATER, WHITE BLOOM" OUT NOW!
An expansive collection of modern mythology and lush orchestration, Sea Wolf’s sophomore LP, White Water, White Bloom, was penned solely by Alex Church, produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk) and recorded with a full band (keyboardist Lisa Fendelander, bassist Ted Liscinski and drummer Joey Ficken). These new compositions were injected with a raw, dynamic energy that the band developed through extensive touring together and are once again display on their current US tour with Sara Lov www.myspace.com/saralov. Set against the changing of seasons, the record unfolds like an epic poem over 10 tracks. Pulsing with evocations of nature at its most elemental, Sea Wolf's songs are filled with vivid imagery and a cinematic sense of movement.
"(Alex) Church and Mogis lace their autumnal anthems with strings, organs, woodwinds, and clash cymbals, creating mini-symphonies that leave their mark but rarely overstay their welcome. The resulting tunes are lush, but few are truly dense, and White Water's biggest asset is its ability to wield such a large sound without replacing the woodsy, cozy feel of Church's solo performances." - All Music Guide

NEW RELEASE FROM DEVENDRA BANHART!
Indie troubadour Devendra Banhart has released “Baby,” the first new material from his upcoming album What Will We Be, out October 27th on Warner Brothers Records, which is now streaming on his Myspace page. The new album was recorded in a sleepy Northern California town throughout the Spring of 2009 co-produced by Devendra and Paul Butler (from UK outfit Band Of Bees). The international media's acclaim and the size of his audience both at home and abroad earned by his debut Oh Me Oh My The Way The Day Goes By The Sun Is Setting Dogs Are Dreaming Lovesongs Of The Christmas Spirit was impressive to begin with and has increased dramatically with each subsequent release. What Will We Be is his label debut for Warner Brothers Records.
The single release has also been featured on both Pitchfork and Stereogum, with Stereogum calling the track “Slight and breezy.”
