PLAY GEARS OF WAR 2 WITH GYM CLASS HEROES

Alternative indie and hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes will be on Xbox LIVE® January 16 to play members in Gears of War® 2.

If you're an Xbox LIVE Gold member, and you want a chance to play with Gym Class Heroes, send a friend request to the Gamertag "Gym Class GWF" and be online half an hour before (12:30 p.m.) the Game with Fame session starts on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Gym Class Heroes have released two EPs and four studio albums, the latest of which is The Quilt, a mind-expanding record that also features appearances from Busta Rhymes and Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates. The album follows on the release of their gold-certified As Cruel As School Children, and their reception of the 2007 MTV Video Music Award Best New Artist designation. The band consists of Travis McCoy (vocals), Matt McGinley (drums), Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo (guitar), and Eric Roberts (bass).

GYM CLASS PRISONER

Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travis McCoy was arrested last night in St. Louis on one charge of third-degree assault. The group had just finished the first song of their Warped Tour set, “Peace Sign,” when a black audience member near the front row called the New York-based singer a “fucking ignorant nigger.”

McCoy asked the man, “What did you just call me?” As security was removing him from the crowd, Travis reached down and broke his microphone over the man’s head. McCoy immediately apologized for his reaction. “I’m sorry. But when someone calls you something that ignorant and that offensive, you have to bash their head in with a microphone,” said McCoy. The audience cheered as the man in question was carried away by security. McCoy was arrested onstage at the end of his set.

*ST. LOUIS (April 7, 2008)* rBar and Loudmouth Music
Management/Booking/Promotion are set to host the official Gym Class
Heroes/Kidz in the Hall Afterparty on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. The party
will follow a University of Missouri - Saint Louis (UMSL) performance of the
Spring 2008 Campus Tour, featuring *Gym Class Heroes*, an indie hip-hop
group from Geneva, New York under Decaydance Records, and *Kidz in the
Hall*, an American hip-hop duo currently signed to Duck Down Records.

The party begins at 9pm and will highlight performances by St. Louis
native *Nato Caliph* and local hip-hop group, the *Earthworms*, both parts
of F5 Records. There may also be additional performances by 'special
guests' throughout the evening.

The party is brought to you by *Loudmouth*, a start-up St. Louis company
specializing in connecting artists to opportunities in the music industry by
providing services such as event planning and promotion.

*rBar* is a bar/lounge/restaurant in the Grove area of St. Louis, Mo,
located at 4054 Chouteau Avenue. Entry is $5 at the door; doors open at
9pm.
