OMG...it's New Years Eve!! I can't believe this year is OVER...insane! I had an amazing year and I am SoOoOoo excited to see what 2009 has in store for me.
In 2008 I had the vision to start musicbleep.com, and I started it as a creative outlet. I was laid off from my music job and I didn't know what to do to keep me involved in the music. I decided to start a blog, but wasn't sure exactly where to begin. First, I'm certainly not a writer, so the only thing I had going for me was my passion for music. In march of 08 musicbleep.com was born and it has surpassed all my expectations.
I have been so blessed to not only write about and share the music I love, but to see and meet some amazing artists/bands throughout the year. A BIG thank you to everyone who has helped musicbleep succeed!! I am so grateful that people are interested in my blog, and I am so grateful to the people that have contributed to the success of the blog. From the tickets to a show, photos, contests to some really amazing interviews...thank you to everyone!
Also, a BIG THANKS to my photographer and story contributor Cory Radke! We have had so much fun hitting up shows...Coachella, Martha, The Ting Tings, LVD (10 times) and many many more! Thanks so much for all your help!!
May 2009 be even more successful and even more exciting than 2008!
Now to my favorite albums of 2008!
1) Low vs Diamond - Low vs Diamond
2) The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing
3) Adele - 19
4) Coldplay - Viva La Vida
5) Martha Wainwright - I Know You're Married But I Got Feeling Too
6) MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
7) Ray Lamontagne - Gossip In The Grain
8) Greg Laswell - Three Flights From Alto Nido
9) Lykke Li - Youth Novels
10) Katy Perry - One Of The Boys
A lot of great music was released in 2008! My list could go on, cuz I had a ton of favorites! I can't wait to hear what's in store for 2009. Happy New Year!!
