Check out this great new video for "Will The Ladies Send You Flowers" Director, Alexander Turvey, spent months painstakingly perfecting the models (including two 4ft paper skeletons, and a 7ft fabric spider web), filming, and adding animation.

BRETT DENNEN DEBUTS HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS ON AN 11 CITYMINI-TOUR SPONSORED BY GUAYAKI YERBA MATETICKETS ON SALE SEPT. 18; HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS OUT OCT. 21ALBUM PRE-SALE BEGINS SEP. 16 ON BRETTDENNEN.NET—FIRST 200 FANS GET SIGNED CD & CHANCE TO WIN MARTIN ACOUSTIC GUITAR HAND-PAINTED BY BRETT
Singer/songwriter Brett Dennen’s October release Hope For The Hopeless on Dualtone Music Group/Downtown Music will be followed by a pared-down mini-tour sponsored by organic drink-maker Guayaki Yerba Mate. Tickets become available September 18 for the intimate tour which starts in Portland, OR on November 3 and wraps at New York City’s Canal Room November 18. Please see below for a full list of dates. The mini-tour is a return to the smaller venues Brett began playing just five years ago; Dennen and his full band are preparing a larger headlining tour for early 2009. The tour celebrates the release of Brett’s third album Hope For The Hopeless out October 21. Fans can pre-order through www.brettdennen.net beginning September 15 and the first 200 fans to order will receive an autographed album and a chance to win a Martin acoustic guitar hand-painted by Brett.
Billboard wrote that “Dennen is just as in demand as a solo performer [as a supporting act].” This summer, while on the road with John Mayer, USA Today listed Brett among three artists worth arriving early for stating, “these opening acts are the talent before the star storm.” Brett’s audiences have consistently doubled in size with each return to a city. Adding fuel to the fire is Hope For The Hopeless’ first single, “Make You Crazy” featuring Afro-Beat king Femi Kuti. It is an infectious, uptempo song already playing on tastemaker stations across the U.S.
Hope For The Hopeless features an increasingly electric take on Brett’s narrative-rich songs and pop, folk, rock and Afro-Caribbean sounds. The album was recorded at the Village Recorder Studios in Los Angeles with multi-platinum producer John Alagia (John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band). Brett cites inspiration ranging from Fela Kuti’s Expensive Shit/Ransome Kuti, to Joni Mitchell’s Court And Spark, to The Rolling Stone’s Exile On Main St. Brett Dennen 2008 Mini Tour Sponsored by Guayaki Yerba Mate

On the heels of last week's announcement of their "Live It Up On The Day of The Dead" show in NYC on Nov 1, the B-52s announce additional Fall tour dates.
Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland and Cindy Wilson will keep the Funplex party going strong with a riotous performance of full-throttle electro rock dance pop. Alongside new gems like ‘Funplex’, ‘Ultraviolet’, ‘Hot Corner’, ‘Keep This Party Going’ and the sublime new single ‘Juliet Of The Spirits’, the show features much of the B’s superb catalogue including the mighty ‘Rock Lobster’, ‘Roam’, ‘Mesopotamia’, ‘Planet Claire’ and the classic ‘Love Shack’.
“Every time they take a stage, The B-52s prove that there has never been another band remotely like them"- Rolling Stone
“Dance music sounds so much better when performed live by an actual band of flesh, blood and several cubic yards of eyeliner.” - The Washington Post
“The new songs jumped alongside the old ones with cheeky verve.” - The Boston Globe
“It’s impossible to attend a B-52s show and not find your leg reflexively bouncing or your head bobbing uncontrollably- Richmond Times-Dispatch
Recorded in their native Athens and released earlier this year, Funplex saw the band return to excellent reviews after a 16 year hiatus and once again deliver a collection of classic B-52s material. With its primal guitar hooks, driving drums and the B-52s unmistakable vocal style, Funplex is instantly recognizable as quintessential and contemporary B-52s.
The band recently released the “Juliet of the Spirits” Remix EP which features remixes from some of world’s most sought-after electronic producers - Zoned Out, Dan McKie, Glenn Morrison & Bruce Aisher, and Morgan Page.

So Monday night I met up with a friend at the Cheesecake Factory for some dinner, and have to say, ate way too much. Knowing I was on my way to see Hot Chip at The Wiltern, I was a little worried I wasn't going to be able to dance, because I was so full. I was mistaken!! I cannot recall a show at The Wiltern that I have seen so packed, and IT WAS THEIR SECOND NIGHT IN L.A.!! The energy in this place was beyond imaginable and everyone was dancing! The two leads, both in jumpsuits, one orange the other white, and the rest of the ensemble, created a massive, electronic orgasm with each song! Chest pounding pop! I don't think there was one person there not dancing, or jumping, or flinging their arms in the air. It was, by far, one of the most energetic shows I have been to in a very long time. The show was so tightly put together with the lighting, and the band, it was quite a spectacle, and I have to tell you all that missed this show, you really, really missed out! And for those of you that are not in L.A., and they are coming to a city close to you........GO SEE THEM!!!

Last night while I was watching the Emmy's over at my friends house, I got word that Low vs. Diamond has just released their new video for "Heart Attack." I was sooo excited to finally know that they completed their much anticipated (by me) video for one of my favorite songs from their album.
I immediately ran home to watch the video and to get it up for you this morning! It's a bit of a freaky video, but it's BAD ASS! Thanks to the magical world of Hollywood you get to see his (Lucas) entire life flash before your eyes.
And here they are on The Tonight Show in case you missed them. All this gets me amped to see them again in October with Santogold, The Ting Tings and Mates of State! This is going to be a killer show - get your tix now!
