A career-spanning documentary that was filmed over a two day period and features appearances by Christina Aguilera, Bill Clinton and more. The concert-movie, which was directed by Martin Scorsese opens today.

iSpace

Myspace is the new iTunes... Myspace announced that they will be the new competitor to iTunes. MySpace unveiled its long-anticipated music offering with a joint venture with Vivendi's Universal Music Group, Sony BMG and Warner Music Group.

MySpace Music will offer free music and video streaming supported by advertising, paid-for MP3 downloads, ringtones for cell phones, concert ticket sales and merchandise. Details are still a bit unclear, however look for Tom to be rolling in the dough.

WORLD PREMIERE

The wait is over... Madonna's new video featuring Justin Timberlake has officially premiered! '4 Minutes To Save The World' was released a day earlier than expected and has already created a bunch of buzz. How hot are M & J? These two have great chemistry and I totally want to see them make out! I think we have a new Ashton & Demi in the works... Madonna's husband better watch out!

JIGGA WHAT!?

Jay-Z is about ready to tie the knot with concert promoter Live Nation. The deal would be worth $150 million - that's a lot of cheese! Jay would leave his longtime label, Def Jam for this deal with LN. It would include financing his own entertainment ventures as well as tours and recordings over the next ten years.

Last night b4 bed I was finally able to get caught up on some Tivo. As I was watching the 2 episodes of The Hills, one song in particular caught my ear. 'Black Hole' by the band I Nine played as Lauren and Audrina talk at home before heading out.

The female lead from this pop/rock quintet originate from South Carolina. They first gained recognition when Cameron Crowe approached them to appear on the "Elizabethtown" soundtrack and have since released the single 'Seven Days of Lonely'. An upcoming album is scheduled for release in 08.

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE

"Just because you are one person doesn't mean you can't make a difference". These words spoken by a student at the University of Wisconsin after students demonstrate their support for Homelessness in their city.

This is just a little something to think about as you go through your daily lives. I know this is not music related, but it's an issue that is very important to me. I think what these kids are doing is amazing, and we all have the opportunity to make a difference.

All IN THE FAMILY

So, I finished another Monday night in Bernardo's bootcamp at Golds Gym, grabbed my friend and headed to The Echo to catch TCS. Last night’s performance from The Chapin Sisters, ended their fantastic 5 week residency at The Echo in Los Angeles. Two of these fabulous “sisters” are products of the legendary folk singer Tom Chapin, brother of Harry, and the third is the daughter of filmmaker Wes Craven. Their popularity began, with their many times played cover of 'Toxic' by Britney Spears, which became a huge myspace hit. They are also known for covering such artists as Madonna and The Smiths, but last night we were fortunate enough to hear some original tunes off of their new album, Lake Bottom, which dropped mid-March. Their angelic and powerful harmonies, and dark yet cute presence created a moving and emotional atmosphere. Think the Mama’s and the Papa’s meets Cat Power times 3. Listen to The Chapin's cute version of those hit songs made famous by Brit and Madonna.

LET ME THINK ABOUT IT

Um...this has been the longest work day ever! I'm about ready to explode, and if it wasn't for this song I keep playing I may not have made it through the day. It's by Ida Corr featuring Feddie le Grand. I just keep playing it over and over....take a listen! My friend first told me about this song way back in the day when he came back from Manchester and was obsessed with it. I am now just taking a liking to it.




I'm totally stoked...tonight I am going to see The Chapin Sisters at the Echo! I have heard some of the songs they remade like Brit's 'Toxic' and Madonna's 'Borderline', and now they got me super excited to see them perform it live. I will post pictures and more about these ladies tomorrow.

HANGIN' TOUGH

Looks like the bad boys of NKOTB are back and ready to appear for the first time in years together on the Today show. After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that NKOTB will be reuniting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their hit album Hangin' Tough. The Kids will be "Hangin' Tough" on the morning show's courtyard on April 4th.

Well, don't let the name of this band from Los Feliz, California scare you. ROCK & BE GREEN

Indie 103 and www.bottlesandcans.com are teaming up to bring us even more awareness about the environment. Rockcycle is a free event created to help spread the word about "Going Green". A live performance with the band Airborne Toxic Event, plus food and drink will be provided.

I must say that all this "GOING GREEN" stuff really excites me! I'm all about every opportunity to help pitch in for OUR environment, and having fun with it. Info for the event is listed below.
