The Black Heart Procession began in San Diego, CA circa 1997, when Pall Jenkins and Tobias Nathaniel put their other band Three Mile Pilot on an open-ended hiatus. While the Black Heart core members are Pall (vocals, guitar, synths, etc.) and Toby (piano, guitar, organ, etc.), you will often find Joe Plummer (drums) and Dimitri Dziensuwski (touring augmentation, moustache) and at times, other characters hiding under the BHP umbrella. They have a hauntingly beautiful sound and they are playing this Thursday, April 24th at the Troubadour. You should definitely check them out this week!
