OTH - One Tired Homeboy

Yay...Friday is once again amongst us! I definitely think we should have shorter weeks more often. I seriously need a vacation from the vacation last week. I have been sooo tired all week, and for some reason I can't seem to get caught up with my sleep. This is the weekend...

Anyway, lots of great shows premiered this week, Gossip Girl, America's Next Top Model, Top Design, 90210 and One Tree Hill. It's so great to be back to the fall season, even if it means summer is over or about over. Anyway, its been hard to keep up with all the music from some of my favorite fall shows, cuz there has been so many!

One Tree Hill always has great music playing throughout the show. I have found a lot of amazing bands from watching, and some bands/artists even had their big break from being on OTH.

So, I am doing my hardest to bring you a list of what's played each week per peoples requests; however, it gets a lil crazy in my life sometimes, so I may be a day or two behind. Have a nice weekend!

ONE TREE HILL - SEASON 6 PREMIERE

Bethany Joy Galeotti feat. Enation - "Feel This"
Coldplay - "Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love"
Earlimart - "Town Where You Belong"
My Morning Jacket - "Look At You" & "Highly Suspicious"
Flo Rida feat. Will.i.Am - "In The Ayer"
Elvis Presley - "Burning Love"
David Condos - "I Should Be Lost Without You"
Frightened Rabbit - "Poke
The Cure - "Love Song"

SoCal’s reggae and hip-hop influenced alt-rockers The Dirty Heads are set to release their debut album Any Port In A Storm on September 23rd via Executive Music Group (Universal). Featuring one of the last recorded performances of the late keyboardist Billy Preston, best known for his work with The Beatles, the album blends The Dirty Heads’ distinctive brand of reggae, hip-hop and folk-influenced party music.

Produced by Sugar Ray drummer Stan Frazier and Steve Fox (Ashlee Simpson), and mixed by legendary Beastie Boys mixmeister Mario C, Any Port In A Storm includes the first single, ‘Stand Tall’, recently featured in the 2007 Sony Pictures film Surf’s Up. Percussionist Alex Acuna, NIN and Korn drummer Josh Freese, Jamaican dancehall legend Tippa Ire and Indie 103.1 reggae host Native Wayne also appear on the star-studded debut album.

HILLS PICK OF THE WEEK!

I'm a huge fan of Tegan and Sara, which is why I chose them to be my Hills Pick Of The Week.

Their song "Call It Off" is such the perfect song to leave on rotate when going through a breakup. This song was playing as LC was leaving Doug's house after she told him it wasn't going to work. It totally reminded me of my last breakup and I remember playing this album over and over for weeks. They completely helped me get over my breakup and the emo phase I was going through.

T&S are on tour and have like 3 nights in LA in October - can't wait!

SUMMER KIND OF WONDERFUL

I'm obsessed with the Music Supervisor of Gossip Girl. Her name is Alex Patsavas and she's the genius behind hits like Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Gossip Girl. Everything this lady touches turns to gold (music gold)!

This is the music she chose for the season premiere of GG.

* The Windupdeads - "Reverse Of Shade"
* Motion City Soundtrack - "Fell In Love Without You"
* Lady GaGa - "Paparazzi"
* Shwayze - "Buzzin'"
* Jem - "Crazy"

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend! I just arrived home from my weekend in Palm Springs and as much as I wanted it to be a relaxing weekend away, it really wasn't. However, I had such a great time swimming, drinking, hanging out with my friends, and even MORE drinking. I did more drinking than I would have liked, but it was a great way to unwind from the stresses of the work week.

So, tonight some of my favorite shows, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl are rolling out their season premieres. They never let me down when it comes to the music they feature throughout the episodes. Not only am I going to continue featuring the music from The Hills, I will also try and keep up with the music from OTH and GG!

Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day!

XOXO
