A few weeks ago, musicbleep was invited to see The Uglysuit at the Viper Room, and it was quite the show. We have been following them for quite sometime, and we were super excited to finally get the opportunity to see them live.
The overall energy of this packed venue already set the tone for the night, and then once the band hit the stage, they confirmed that we were in for a nice intimate surprise. I was very impressed by the fun and relaxed nature of the Oklahoma City members, while they showcased their talents that I would actually compare to the live phenomenon, My Morning Jacket; although, The Ugly Suit has a sound all their own.
The Uglysuit really had their chance to shine in L.A. and boy did they succeed! Based on their 45-min set, the band passed the test with flying colors. They kept the audience dancing, cheering, and happy during the entire set and when you're in L.A. that's very important.
They are just kicking off their US tour which includes a stop at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. If in your area, this band is definitely worth checking out, both recorded and live!
