SLINGIN' THE CREAM. LIVIN' THE DREAM.
The Ice Cream man is back with another session of "Road Trippin' With The Ice Cream Man." This time he makes a stop at Wakarusa and has a little session with The Uglysuit, a band we had the chance to see last month at the Viper Room.
Next stop was Bonnaroo...a little preview below! Summer is just kickin' off, he has a lot more to cover.

THE UGLYSUIT LIVE AT THE VIPER ROOM!
A few weeks ago, musicbleep was invited to see The Uglysuit at the Viper Room, and it was quite the show. We have been following them for quite sometime, and we were super excited to finally get the opportunity to see them live.
The overall energy of this packed venue already set the tone for the night, and then once the band hit the stage, they confirmed that we were in for a nice intimate surprise. I was very impressed by the fun and relaxed nature of the Oklahoma City members, while they showcased their talents that I would actually compare to the live phenomenon, My Morning Jacket; although, The Ugly Suit has a sound all their own.
The Uglysuit really had their chance to shine in L.A. and boy did they succeed! Based on their 45-min set, the band passed the test with flying colors. They kept the audience dancing, cheering, and happy during the entire set and when you're in L.A. that's very important.
They are just kicking off their US tour which includes a stop at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. If in your area, this band is definitely worth checking out, both recorded and live!

THE UGLYSUIT LIVE AT THE VIPER ROOM - TONIGHT!!!
Made up of six friends from Oklahoma City ranging in age from 20-23, The Uglysuit brings a different mentality to what they do – remarkably fresh-faced and honest, the band believes in letting loose, fostering a heartfelt atmosphere of hope and love, and works hard to shape what comes naturally. Playing together since their early teen years has given them an almost familial connection which shines through on their beautiful, fully-realized debut album.
I am super excited to see this band tonight. I've been a huge fan for years and I've yet to see them live, so tonight is gonna be a treat. I'll have a full report later in the week!

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
TONIGHT is the return of The National!! It's been since Coachella like 3 years ago when I saw the band last, we also had that moment at the House of Blues in San Diego when Cory (staff writer) met the band and had a moment with them when they sang Happy Birthday to him. I'm super excited to see them tonight, their new CD is AMAZING! The band continues to grow with each album & continue to blow me away with their talent. We will have a full review next week.
Also, we have a super busy musical week - kicking it off with The Uglysuit. The Uglysuit is a band out of Oklahoma that I've been wanting to see for years. If you don't know this band, you gotta check em out! The band has 2 gigs next week in LA - a night at the Hotel Cafe as well as the famous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip. www.myspace.com/theuglysuit
Let's not forget they dynamic Australian duo, Angus & Julia Stone. They are returning to Hollywood for a 2 night stint at the Cemetery. I believe they also have a FREE show at a record store in Long Beach and another show they added in Venice.
It all adds up to the BIG Sasquatch Festival weekend in Washington. More details to come...

SPEND SOME TIME IN "CHICAGO"
A few weeks ago I introduced The Uglysuit to you all. The Uglysuit is this AWESOME band out of Oklahoma! Well, today I have the first single off their upcoming album!
