Diamonds Are My New Best Friend

I first caught wind of this band from my good friend Payton. Low Vs Diamond was featured on the TV show "One Tree Hill" a few weeks back. I happened to be on th Viper Room website a few days later and noticed they were scheduled to play. I was digging the song the minute I heard it on TV, so I decided to order their EP from Amazon and hit up the Viper with my bud. I must say I was really impressed and now consider myself a big LVD fan. So, listen to Payton & me when we say this band ROCKS and check LVD out for yourself! You can catch them Live in Los Angeles at the Troubadour on March 20th.

Sprint Commercial or Music Video??

Okay, so you're probably going, "Is this like a Sprint commercial or what?" But seriously, It's actually this rad new video from the artist, Kaki King. Her album Dreaming Of Revenge dropped on Tuesday - it's actually pretty rad! Grab her album & check her on at www.myspace.com/kakiking.

She's playing a bunch of upcoming shows, including SXSW this week. If you are in the Los Angeles area like myself, she's playing The Roxy on March 26th. I see big things happening for this girl!

ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Each month I’m going to have a new Artist of the Month featured on Musicbleep. It’s a chance for you to get to know the music I’m feeling. My 1st featured artist for March is Kate Nash.

I’m totally obsessed with the Kate Nash CD! It’s been out for awhile now; however, many people still aren’t aware of how brilliant she is. Her CD has been on repeat in my car for weeks and weeks. She’s totally the new Lilly Allen (sans all the drug problems). Her lyrics are clever and her vocals are a breath of fresh air. 20 year old Nash who reigns from London was one of Lilly’s top friends on Myspace and has become the latest sensation to take the world by storm. She emerged from nowhere to become one of the hottest things in pop today.

Her quirky single “Foundations”, is up-beat, totally fun and silly - one of my faves on the record! Oh and track 11, "Nicest Thing" – UH-MAY-ZING!! I’d totally put it in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Made Of Bricks is totally MAY-JA (in my best British accent) and in stores now!

Check out her new video for "Mouthwash". www.myspace.com/katenashmusic.

The Launch of MusicBleep

Musicbleep.blogspot.com has finally dropped! The purpose of this forum is to share my love of music amongst people with a similar passion. Too many amazing artists go unheard or never make it mainstream. It's not even about making it big for some artists; it's about their passion, their drive, that fire inside of them.

I want to be a voice for that artist by bringing you their art; all types of music from all different genres. I'm writing this blog to share my experience with that artist. It might be anything from a music review, artist profiles, concert reviews, interviews to the latest breaking headlines. Also, I want to be a voice for you - the fan. I want to hear your thoughts, your opinions, your reviews. Let this be an open forum for you as well.

Without further ado.....Musicbleep.blogspot.com

Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.
