QUEEN OF THE NIGHT

Kaki King ascended her throne last night at The Roxy on Sunset. Fresh off her recent ride at SXSW where she was one of the most anticipated performers - Kaki showcased her incredible talents in front of a packed house. Kaki's style combines "fret-tapping with slap bass techniques, using her guitar for percussional beats, as well as sound layering and looping, which creates a percussive and complex sound." Her recent album Dreaming of Revenge was released on March 11th, 2008 and features my favorite track 'Pull Me Out Alive'. I want to give BIG THANKS to Nicole at Big Hassle for getting me in last night! Also, I am going to attach some great pictures of Kaki from last nights amazing show in just a bit.

She's playing a bunch of upcoming shows, including SXSW this week. If you are in the Los Angeles area like myself, she's playing The Roxy on March 26th. I see big things happening for this girl!
