Check out the new music video for “Possibility” from songwriter and performer Lykke Li taken at Decibel Studios in Stockholm, Sweden on March 9th, 2010.

The track is featured within Twilight’s latest film ‘New Moon’ and soundtrack –– written, produced and recorded by Lykke Li. This is the first new song following her debut album “Youth Novels” released in 2008. Lykke Li is currently working on her sophomore album and “Possibility” can be heard as a taste of what’s next.

LOLLAPALOOZA WRAP UP

This past weekend was the Lollapalooza Festival at Grant Park in Chicago. Of course, I missed another festival...annoying! This is what I need to be doing...traveling the world to the many different festivals. Anyhoo...someday, but in the meantime I gotta pick and choose, and unfortunitely I didn't choose Lollapalooza. Thank God for YouTube!!

Kings of Leon just one of many bands that took the stage over the weekend. Not the best footage, but you get the idea. I can't wait to check them out in LA in just over a week!

Lykke Li hails from Sweden and is lucky enough to have Bjorn Yttling (of Peter Bjorn & John fame) as her mentor. She chronicled her life in song with tracks from her full length debut on Morning Becomes Eclectic this past Tuesday.

Lykke LI. 'You Be the Rhythm and I'll Be the Beat'

In one word, STELLAR! Lykke LI, discovered by P, B & J's Peter Moren, put on an extraodinary performance last night at the El Rey in Los Angeles! It was a non stop, energetic display of true passion! Lykke definitely knows how to work the crowed, hypnotizing everyone with her rhythmic moves, and her Janis Joplin craziness. From slamming her hand on her tambourine to banging her drumstick on a symbol, I danced the whole show, even during one, and only one, ballad. Sweden has done it once again!

She had a true stage presence that is a rare one to find these days, she truly felt her lyrics. Moving around the stage with her array of gold chains, and quirky dance moves, you could really feel her message of love, heartbreak, and fuck off!

Angelic and strong, Lykke Li is the next greatest from Sweden, along with Jens Lekman, Peter, Bjorn and John and let's not forget about The Sounds and The Knife. Check her out, love at first listen!

SWEDE AS PIE

Get ready for the next Swede to invade America. Lykke Li is a twenty-two year old, singer/songwriter from Stockholm. She released her FIRST album this past February in her Nordic region and in March amongst the States. She will be hitting the US this May, kicking off her US invasion in Philadelphia and making stops in NY & LA along the way.

Her music has been described as "a mix of soul, electro and powdered-sugar pop".
