RJA SET TO JUMP

THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS
SETS TOUR DATES THROUGH MARCH, 2009

NEW SINGLE "YOU BETTER PRAY"
HITS ALTERNATIVE RADIO AND MTV2;
RJA FANS GET FREE DOWNLOAD OF ALBUM TRACK
"PEN & PAPER" ON OFFICIAL WEBSITE

SECOND VIRGIN ALBUM LONELY ROAD, RELEASED FEB. 3RD

NEW YORK, N.Y.- For Virgin Records platinum-plus rockers THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS, a busy holiday season is only getting busier in the two-month run-up to the much-anticipated February 3, 2009 release of the band's second album, LONELY ROAD.

The band played early Secret Santa to their worldwide fan community by posting the new album track "Pen & Paper" as a free download at the RedJumpsuitAlliance.com website, adding a stream of the song to MySpace.com, and letting viral word of mouth do the rest.

The album's kick-off single and video, the righteous rocker "You Better Pray," has already been streamed nearly 350,000 times on the RJA Myspace.com page, as it builds national airplay and climbs the alternative and modern rock radio charts.

Three months' worth of live dates have now been finalized, including year-end holiday celebrations presented by America's greatest rock radio stations; a month of headlining dates through the south and Midwest (including a stop in their hometown Jacksonville, Florida); and a series of gigs in Southeast Asia and Australia.

On Monday, December 15th, the final MTV2: UNLEASHED All-Day Premiere of 2008 will be "You Better Pray." The video will run on MTV2's online homepage and on MTV2's cablecast throughout the day, at the top of each video hour and in front of the channel's regular programming. Promo spots will feature teaser footage from the song's video clip for a week prior to premiere day.

THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS recorded LONELY ROAD, at the Valley Village, CA, studio of super-producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Hoobastank, P.O.D., Less Than Jake, Daughtry, Seether, All-American Rejects). The album follows up DON'T YOU FAKE IT, the band's breakthrough debut, which charted for 62 weeks on Billboard's Top 200, scanning over a million copies in the U.S. to date, and selling more than 2.1 million copies of its singles.

Consisting of lead singer Ronnie Winter, guitarist/pianist/singer Duke Kitchens, bass/singer Joey Westwood and drummer/singer Jon Wilkes, RJA's extraordinary address of domestic violence in their first single, "Face Down," signaled the close relationship the band would keep with their fans as they grew from local sensations to platinum international hit-makers. "Everybody loves the band 'cause they know we are real and not contrived, and know the trailer that we started jamming in when we were 15 years old," Ronnie Winter told a CrusherMagazine.com interviewer during his brief downtime at home in Florida, just following completion of the new album. "The cops had to come shut us down. I still talk to those cops when I see them on the streets. It's one whole long story that has taken eight or nine years, so our community has been with us the whole time.

Accordingly, since the release of DON'T YOU FAKE IT, RJA has also been an active force for a wide array of charitable organizations and social causes, including teen suicide prevention (including co-headlining the US Take Action Tour with My Chemical Romance and Rise Against), mental health parity and a strong commitment to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, teaming up with their label Virgin Records, to raise funds.

In addition, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation has been formed as an umbrella group to support under-funded high school band programs, to promote and enhance student musical development; support individuals affected by domestic violence, to break the cycle of abuse; and contribute to research that focuses on management of acute hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients. "We've honestly always felt blessed, and the best way to give back is to…give back! Don't talk about it. Just do it. So our motto of, 'Doing good for no good reason' will always apply to this specific band, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus," Winter said.

LISTEN TO THIS!

Erin McCarley calls the music on her debut album, Love, Save the Empty, a document of her search for authenticity in herself and in others. If that sounds heavy, there’s a reason why: According to McCarley, “Loving You” is about “being honest at the beginning of a new relationship and saying, ‘I have nothing left to give,’ to this amazing person standing right in front of me.”

McCarley grew up in the Dallas suburb of Garland, where she says her parents couldn’t have done a better job raising her and her older sister. “It was a very happy home with very little pain to deal with,” she explains, describing days filled with dance class and choir rehearsal. In a way, though, her ideal childhood led to an unexpected wake-up call later in life. “It kind of gave me an unrealistic view of everything,” McCarley notes with a laugh. “That’s not how the world is, you know?” In McCarley’s music you can hear her charting the distance between fantasy and reality, as well as the heartbreak that inevitably accompanies its discovery.

Her debut album Love, Save the Empty will be released exclusively on iTunes on December 30th and then in stores on January 6th. Her music is already receiving a large amount of exposure on TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy and One Tree Hill.

IT'S NOT ME, IT'S YOU

On February 10th, 2009, Capitol Records will release It's Not Me, It's You, the follow-up to Lily Allen's critically acclaimed 2007 debut, Alright, Still. Recorded at Eagle Rock Studios in Los Angeles, the album finds Lily in top form, creating a record Blender's recent "In The Studio" feature described as "part God, part country and all middle finger." Allen wrote and recorded the album's 12 songs with producer Greg Kurstin (the bird and the bee), who worked with her on three songs for Alright, Still - "Everything's Just Wonderful," "Alfie" and "Not Big."

"We decided to try and make bigger sounding, more ethereal songs, real songs," says Lily, who will be touring the U.S. in the spring. "I wanted to work with one person from start to finish to make it one body of work. I wanted it to feel like it had some sort of integrity. I think I've grown up a bit as a person and I hope it reflects that."

On It's Not Me, It's You, Lily's characteristically sharp observations find expression in a variety of musical styles, with influences ranging from the Jazz Era to country and western to dance music. "Highlights include 'Everyone's at It,' a synth-pop song about prescription drugs that features Allen on xylophone; 'He Wasn't There,' which matches emotional lyrics about her absent father to a jazz groove; and 'Not Fair,' a saucy country song about an inadequate lover," said Rolling Stone.

Often called the queen of MySpace - a reference to the massive interest generated by early demos she posted on her page - Lily was hailed by NME as "the archetypal singer-songwriter for the iPod generation" while The New York Times observed, "She symbolizes a new blogging-age, middle-class girl: cockily ambitious, skeptical yet enthusiastic, technically savvy, musically open, obsessed with public expression and ready to fight back."

After a release week performance on "Saturday Night Live," Alright, Still bowed at No. 20 on The Billboard 200 in February 2007. Certified Gold in the States, it has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. Allen, who was nominated for four Brit awards, a GRAMMY® award and an MTV Video Music award, toured the U.S. numerous times and appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "TODAY." A succession of collaborations with artists including Robbie Williams, Mark Ronson, Common, Dizzee Rascal, Jamie T and the Kaiser Chiefs further enhanced Lily's reputation as an artist of unusual diversity. The track listing for It's Not Me, It's You is as follows:

WE DRANK A LOT AND WE LIKED IT!

A drunk Katy Perry took the stage for an impromptu performance last Saturday night at a bar in WeHo. She was there hanging out after performing earlier for the local radio KIIS Jingle Ball.

I was there and it was such a blast. The crowd went crazy! My friend even smacked her ass (you can see right around the 4:10 mark) - it was hot!

M83 @ THE FONDA

The Saturday after Thanksgivng, I had the amazing pleasure of witnessing the incredible musical genius of M83. It was such an experience, with their intense and loud mixtures of guitar, keyboards, electronica, and vocals. Although Anthony Gonzales, coming from Antibes, France is the main man behind M83, he does have musicians joinging him on his albums and tour. His sound is so unique, but has the quailities of My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division, and even Depeche Mode. This tour, promoting his 5 album, "Saturdays = Youth", which took a slight departure from his previous recordings. The night that I was able to witness his/their performance they performed all of my favorites from his newest album, "You, Appearing", " Couleurs", and "Graveyard Girl", but did not disappoint and played my favorites from previous recordings, "Birds", "Teen Angst", and "Gone". I was comletely impressed and blown away. I could FEEL the music, and the intensity, and it such and ambient and even a physical experience, one I will never forget.
