The Sounds can do no wrong in my book, so everything they put out is a HIT in my eyes. While we are at it, might as well watch "Beatbox" too! I can't wait to see what this band puts out in 2010.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - THE SOUNDS

Finally, the wait is over...The Sounds premiered their latest piece of brilliance, "Beatbox", directed by Manuel Concha /Concha Films.

When I got the tweet, I immediately headed over to Youtube to check it out. I have been waiting months and months for this new video.

The Sounds can do no wrong - this vid is H.O.T.

CROSSING THE RUBICON ONCE AGAIN, WITH THE SOUNDS!

As you have probably gathered by now, we love the Swedes, and we especially love The Sounds. Maja and the gang have been not stop touring and recording for well over 3 years by now; traveling and performing all over the world (with several stops in LA in the past couple of years), and also getting the opportunity to join No Doubt on their last whirlwind world tour!



We have seen the Sounds at a variety of venues, with both large and small audiences, but we were SHOCKED on Wednesday night when we showed up to the show THREE HOURS EARLY (which is something that we just never do) to see the line of people completely wrapped around the block on the corner of Wilshire and Western, where the famous Wiltern Theater resides. This show, with opening acts ‘Foxy Shazam’ and ‘The Moving Units’ sold out within minutes, forcing them to add another show for Thursday night playing with ‘Shiny Toy guns’. As always, they put on a more than stellar performance, rocking the house down with their hard dance beats, and edgy lyrics. Playing songs from their latest album “Crossing the Rubicon’ as well as giving a good dose of Sounds classics from their self titled debut, and their sophomoric release “Dying to Say This to You”.



I don’t care how long that they have been touring, and Lord only know how many shows they perform, they NEVER seem to lose steam and they play for the audience and are always so grateful and loving; every time we have seen them, it always seems like the first and I hope that feeling never dies, and I doubt it will.

THE SOUNDS INVADE L.A.

THE SOUNDS MANIA HAS BEGUN!! Went to the show last night...AMAZEBALLS YO!! Ill have a full report soon, but I'm still recovering!

COME ON BRING THAT BEATBOX BACK

Last week a fan of The Soundssent the band a video they made of a crew of beatboxers performing over part their song "Beatbox".

Also, there's an official "Beatbox" video coming down the line as well, from Swedish film director Manuel Concha. Watch the trailer...it looks pretty rad!

COME CROSS THE RUBICON WITH THE SOUNDS!

Alright everybody, prepare yourselves for another amazing live performance from the Sounds! That's right, they are coming back to LA to promote their latest masterpiece, "Crossing the Rubicon". They will be at the Wiltern on October 21st and tickets go on sale THIS Saturday at 10am, and trust me, they will go quick so be ready. If you have seen them before, you know you are in for a treat. If you have not, please go and check them out, there will be no disappointments!

The Sounds released a remix of "No One Sleeps When I'm Awake" by a young DJ called Viking. "No One Sleeps" is the first single from The Sounds latest album Crossing The Rubicon.

The band have also just added five more North American dates to their just-announced world tour! Foxy Shazam will be offering support in the US and Canada, with Matt & Kim along for the ride in Europe.

The Sounds have been busy these past few months. They just wrapped up their tour with No Doubt, released their new album and now are about to kick off their headlining fall tour this week.

MTV caught up with them after their performance at the Key Club in Hollywood. Here's what they had to say!

We've just launched a "Beatbox" remix contest on Indaba Music!. Join the Indaba community, download the song stems, and show us what you can do with them. The Indaba community will vote for a pool of their favorite entries, and we will help select the baddest, savviest, most imaginative remix as the winner!

Submissions are due by September 3rd. The winner will get crazy rewards including major shoutouts on our myspace, twitter, and facebook. 10 honorable mentions will get autographed copies of Crossing The Rubicon.

INVASION OF THE SOUNDS

The Sounds invaded the Los Angeles area last week. Not only did they have like 5 shows opening up for No Doubt, but they also found time to throw in a private show for some of their adoring fans...including musicbleep. We didnt get to catch em at any of their SOLD OUT No Doubt shows, but it's quite alright...their private show at the Key Club was even better.
